The Royal Canadian Legion is a strong believer in the youth of Canada. It is because of this belief that BC/Yukon Command strives to support youth leadership and development in all avenues of pursuit, instill a sense of pride about the significance of living in a free and democratic country and perpetuate the memory of the Fallen who gave us these freedoms.
Many Legion Branches and Ladies Auxiliaries within BC/Yukon Command proudly offer bursaries and scholarships to deserving young people pursuing academic excellence in studies at secondary schools and universities. As well many Legion Branches and Ladies Auxiliaries support the acquisition of special medical educational equipment for handicapped schools.
Legion Branches and Ladies Auxiliaries throughout the Command raise funds for a wide range of community programs and services. As every community has unique interest and needs, the Legion’s work varies considerably from one community to another.
BC/Yukon Command's youth leadership and development programs encourage young people to strive for excellence, exercise civic responsibility, and express gratitude for those who sacrificed for the greater good of mankind.
