Geriatric Nursing Bursaries

INTRODUCTION

BC/Yukon Command of the Royal Canadian Legion continues to design and support programs which advance the professional care for citizens as their age progresses. Certainly the interest of quality geriatric care emanates from the Legion’s traditional responsibility for veterans and their families. However as the work of the Legion has expands throughout the community, BC/Yukon Command seeks out opportunities to serve all citizens.

GERIATRIC NURSING/GERONTOLOGY BURSARY

BC/Yukon Command offers a Bursary for Geriatric Nursing/Gerontology education for students attending Simon Fraser University. Applicants must reside in British Columbia or the Yukon and be a Canadian Citizen. Bursaries are awarded to students attending post-secondary education at Simon Fraser University on a full time basis for two consecutive semesters. Bursaries are awarded based upon financial need.

Applicants

Eligible students may complete an Application Form including a brief outline describing aims, goals and objectives for a career in Geriatric Nursing.
