Military Service Recognition Book

Military Service Recognition Book

We are collecting stories of BC veterans to be published in the annual Military Service Recognition Book, in order to help identify and recognize many of our veterans and ex-service personnel.

The publishing of this book goes a long way in helping us in our job as “Keepers of Remembrance” so that none of us forget the selfless contributions Veterans have made.

2011 Military Service Recognition Book

Fundraising

This project produces an annual Military Service Recognition Book and raises funds for the Legion. These funds are raised through a telephone appeal to the general public and through advertising sales for the book.

Fenety Marketing will be conducting a Command Telephone Appeal to private citizens and business community members throughout BC and the Yukon between the months of December 2011 and July 2012.

With the funds raised we have supported many important Legion initiatives, including the  Post Traumatic Stress Disorder clinics for young veterans, a Military skills conversion project with BCIT and the BC Seniors Games to just name a few.

Story Submission

Our veterans are a very modest and selfless group and we should not ask, nor expect them to compose and submit stories of themselves. We call upon members of the public to collect stories to submit.
